What we build

Appcodie develops property damage inspection software for inspection businesses, restoration contractors and proptech teams. A project can bring assignment details, room-by-room observations, photos and reviewed measurements into a shared property record.

Who is this software for?

For a restoration business, the priority may be a technician who can complete a visit without re-entering information at the office. For a claims technology company, it may be a reviewer who needs the original evidence behind each observation. We scope the app around those roles, the decisions they make and the systems they already use.

Our work covers new products and focused improvements to an existing platform. A first release might connect a field inspection to a review dashboard; later phases can add room capture, reporting integrations and customer access.

Hurricane and storm damage documentation

A hurricane damage inspection app can organize multiple properties under an event, assign visits and keep each building, room and exterior observation identifiable. We can design required-photo prompts, condition notes, follow-up requests and a history of changes so reviewers know what was captured and what was corrected.

For roof and exterior damage inspection workflows, plan separate photo capture and annotation features. An indoor room model should not be treated as a roof survey or proof of a property’s structural condition. Any drone, aerial imagery or specialist assessment integration needs its own source, access and validation requirements.

LiDAR, floor plans and reviewed measurements

Apple RoomPlan uses the camera and LiDAR Scanner on supported iPhone and iPad hardware to produce room geometry. We can connect that capture step to a floor-plan review interface with room labels, dimensions and photos. See Apple’s RoomPlan overview for the platform capability.

A useful inspection product keeps source geometry, manual corrections and final output distinguishable. Measurements should support an agreed review process; a 3D model alone does not establish the cause of damage or the amount payable on a claim.

From a field visit to a reviewed record

  1. Assign: create the job, property identifiers, access information and responsible team.
  2. Capture: link observations and original photos to the correct room or building element.
  3. Review: flag missing evidence, request a revisit and record approved corrections.
  4. Deliver: generate the agreed report or send approved data to a connected system.

Offline drafts, resumable uploads and access permissions can be included in the scope. Test interrupted uploads and shared-device use before the field rollout, alongside the normal completed-visit workflow.

What determines the development scope?

Bring an anonymized inspection example, the report your customer expects, the platforms you support and the integrations you need. The main effort drivers are capture complexity, offline behaviour, permissions, data migration and reporting rules. We propose a scope after reviewing those details rather than quoting a standard package for every business.

Questions before you build

Can you add damage documentation to our existing app?

Yes. We can scope a focused module around your existing authentication, property records and APIs. A technical review determines what can be reused and what needs to change.

Does this website scan a real property?

No. The website contains illustrative 3D demonstrations. Actual capture, storage, review and reporting are developed as part of a separate application project.

Can AI identify property damage automatically?

AI-assisted tagging or report drafts can be explored where suitable data and evaluation are available. We do not promise automatic diagnosis, verified damage causation or an accuracy level without project-specific testing and human review.
