Withdrawal/Expulsion Rules

Withdrawal & Expulsion Policy

At Imperial International School For Excellence, Khuian Sarwar, the safety, discipline, and academic
well-being of students remain our highest priority. The school follows a structured and transparent
framework for student withdrawal and expulsion, ensuring fairness, consistency, and adherence to
institutional and CBSE norms.

Voluntary Withdrawal by Parents

Parents or guardians seeking to withdraw their ward from the school are required to follow the
prescribed procedure. A written application addressed to the Principal must be submitted clearly
stating the reason for withdrawal and the proposed last date of attendance. A minimum one-month
prior notice is mandatory.

Before the issuance of a Transfer Certificate (TC), parents must ensure complete clearance of all dues, including:

  • School fees
  • Transportation charges
  • Library books
  • Sports equipment or other school property

No academic records or certificates will be released until all financial and material obligations are
fully settled.

Transfer Certificates and Documentation

After successful completion of the withdrawal process, the school issues the following documents
within the stipulated time:

  • Transfer Certificate (TC)
  • Character Certificate
  • Academic Report Card / Transcript

Student Conduct and Grounds for Expulsion

Expulsion is considered only in exceptional circumstances where a student’s conduct:

  • Poses a threat to the safety or well-being of students or staff,
  • Involves serious misconduct, repeated violation of school rules, or unlawful activities,
  • Demonstrates continued non-compliance with behavioural expectations despite corrective measures.

All such cases are reviewed impartially by the School Disciplinary Committee, with due opportunity
given to the student and parents to present their explanation.

Due Process and Corrective Measures

Prior to recommending expulsion, the school undertakes progressive interventions including
counselling, written warnings, probation, and parent consultations. Expulsion is recommended by
the Principal only when all corrective efforts fail and the school community’s safety is at risk.

Appeals and Confidentiality

Parents may submit a written appeal within the defined timeframe. All matters are handled with
confidentiality, sensitivity, and respect for student dignity, while upholding school discipline
standards.
